1.The Adam Project. We absolutely LOVED this movie. It is available on Netflix and has Ryan Reynolds as a futuristic pilot who goes back in time and accidently crash lands in 2022. He teams up with his 12 year old self to save the future. It has great action and so many funny scenes. You will love it. It is rated PG-13–with some foul language (it is Ryan Reynolds after all) and some intense actions scenes (you can read the parent guide here).
2. Lost in Space. Super Rockstar and I have enjoyed this series so much. It streams on Netflix and now has 3 seasons to enjoy. We realized that our boys would enjoy watching it too and started the whole series over from the beginning. They LOVE it. How could you not? It’s space travel. There’s cool technology and robots. It’s rated TV-PG–there are very few curse words and sometimes the situations are pretty intense–it can cause one to feel a little stressed (you can read the parent guide here).
3. Virgin River. When Super Rockstar is at practice each week, I usually try to find a movie or TV show series to watch that I know he wouldn’t mind missing. This show has three seasons to on Netflix and it’s about a nurse who movies to the quaint, beautiful, small town of Virgin River. It has kind of a Hallmark movie feel to it and is a bit soap opera-ish. I feel confident that Super Rockstar will not feel like he’s missing out and would probably smirk and guffaw through each episode. That being said–I’m hooked on the story now. I can’t stop watching. I must know what happens next. Tune in next time….these are the days of our lives—in Virgin River.
