1. Drive in Movies coming to Walmart’s across America. Walmart is going to be doing pop up drive in movies at 160 locations around our nation from August 14-October 21st.
2. A unique back to school commercial. There is something about back to school time that always feels special. There’s always so many commercials that hype up new clothing and supplies to get kids excited about going back to school. This year is definitely different–with some schools opening and many choosing to start with online school only. Macy’s has a back to school commercial that is unique to these times. I love their phrase “No matter how we school, let’s be ready”.
3. Hear Here App. This is an app that was co-created by Kevin Costner. Wherever you are on a road trip it will give you bits of history and unique stories of the area. So far, they have it available in 3 states with plans to include the entire United States.
4. Compassion International distributes more than 4 million meals. Compassion International is known for caring for millions of children in 25 countries by partnering with local churches. During this pandemic, they have also been caring for families. So far they have distributed over 4 million meals to families in need.
5. Elephant Baby Boom in Kenya. Who doesn’t love a baby elephant? In Kenya 140 new baby elephants were born –apparently a record boom for this calving season.
