1. Boy #2’s New Bed. Super Rockstar just keeps cranking out the creative master pieces. This week, he completed Grayson’s log cabin themed bed–complete with chimney (that opens out so he can get to the top bunk), opening door, and a window that looks like it got broken (Grayson’s creative touch idea). I just love it and Grayson is thrilled.
2. Super Rockstar on TV. This coming week (Thursday the 18th at Boot Barn Hall), SofaKillers will be doing a fundraiser gig for the YMCA. To promote the event, Super Rockstar was interviewed on our local Fox 21 news station’s Living Local show–he even came up with a song to go along with it. Just click the link to watch it.
3. Jumping on the Bandwagon. So, apparently In-N-Out Burger is all the rage for a fast food burger joint in California. When folks heard we were getting one here in Colorado Springs–you would think Elvis had been spotted. They built one on the north side of town about a year ago and the line is still wrapped around the building every day for lunch. They opened up a second location this past week, so Super Rockstar and I had to go and see what all the fuss is about. It’s…..ok. I’m really starting to worry that Californians are deprived of awesome tasting food–since all the restaurants they go so nutty about seem pretty “meh” to me. Now, if you want to talk a good burger joint–let’s discuss Whataburger. They’re coming to town in just a few months and THAT is better than an Elvis sighting any day.
3. My oldest son–oh how he’s grown. We hit a mile stone in our home this week. A big one. Morgan is now taller than all of us. He had been creeping up on Super Rockstar with just 1/4″ left to be the same height. I don’t know how, but in a week he had another growth spurt and has now surpassed him. Just as long as he never gets to old to sit on his Momma’s lap and cuddle–I’m ok with it.
