1. Spring Football. Grayson decided he would like to try tackle football (he’s aged out of playing flag football). We found out that the school he’ll attend next year for high school has an 8th grade spring league. They’ve been practicing four days a week for the past couple of weeks and will start games right after Spring Break. So far, he’s really enjoying it. He even told me that he doesn’t really mind when he gets knocked on his butt–that it’s refreshing. We’ve always said–“the boy ain’t right”.
2. Civil Air Patrol Promotion. Morgan finally earned his first promotion with Civil Air Patrol–the Curry Award. They have to complete certain checkpoints to earn each promotion. Grayson and I got to attend his promotion ceremony and I even had the privilege of placing his to pins on his lapels. I’m so proud of how he has taken this on, and I appreciate all of the wonderful folks that volunteer their time to educate and equip young men and women who have a desire to learn all they can about becoming a pilot, aeronautics, and military training.
3. Air Force Academy Gig. The same night Morgan was earning his promotion in a building on Peterson Air Force Base, SofaKillers was way on the other side of town gearing up to play a gig at the Air Force Academy for a group of cadets. Sounds like all that came had a really fun time.
