1. Mother’s Day. I absolutely LOVE celebrating Mother’s Day. Super Rockstar and my boys do such a great job of blessing me with special cards and gifts and making sure I know how much I am appreciated. I have a pretty special Mom too–she set the bar high for how to do it right. I hope each and every mother out there is celebrated. It’s the hardest, yet most rewarding job I’ve ever had.
2. My Birthday. My family is SO, so good at celebrating me on my birthday. Super Rockstar is the master of fun surprises and details that always make my birthday special. I got the full treatment–balloons and streamers and a scavenger hunt to find my “Birthday Box” that was full of gifts and my favorite treats and snacks, My favorite gift was getting a new bike. I haven’t had a new one since I graduated college–so, let’s just say it’s been a while. My second favorite is a Transformers toy named Arcee that my boys gave me. She’s tough and wears pink–just like me. The day ended with a fabulous dinner at AI sushi. It was a first to have our chef squirt Saki into our mouth’s (apple juice for the boys) while he was preparing our meal–all of it was so delicious. What an absolutely perfect day.
3. Last Day of School. Both my boys finished their last days of school and couldn’t be happier to be starting summer break. I was a little sad to see Grayson going into his school for the last time. But, seeing him sprint to the car at the end of the day–apparently, he’s not sad. Morgan’s smile says it all. Finals are done and no more studying for 11 weeks.
4. Grayson’s 8th Grade Graduation. I can’t believe my baby is done with middle school and will begin high school next fall. The school hosted a really nice graduation ceremony for his class–Grayson of course had to give it his personal touch (see the video). They also hosted a dinner and dance afterward just for the kids. Congratulations Grayson!
