1. A Magical Wedding. We got to attend my niece Amy’s wedding to her love, Zach, over Memorial weekend. They have dated for several years, so I feel like Zach is already part of our family–but now it’s official. I’m so glad we got to be there. It was truly a beautiful, meaningful and special event. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Force!
I thought we cleaned up pretty well too. And our boys performed their “kazotsky kick” dance–always a crowd pleaser.
2. SofaKillers Summer Gigs. Outdoor gig season is upon us. It’s always a little iffy with the weather, but they got to play two wonderful summer concert series gigs this past couple of weeks.
The first was at Hillside Gardens. This is such a cool place with beautiful gardens, winding paths and places to sit and enjoy a great view of the mountains. There were some threatening looking storm clouds looming, but that didn’t stop a crowd of folks coming to enjoy a beautiful Colorado evening–and the guys put on a great show.
Next was 1st and Main Town Center. They have played this one for many years and it always draws a huge fun-loving crowd. Fellow groupie Carol and I were “twining” with our matching SofaKillers t-shirts and hats. What a great night and a fun show!
I’ve been asked several times how our boys feel about their Daddy being in a band. These photos pretty much sum it up…
3. The Air Force Thunderbirds. Super Rockstar has worked for Compassion International for over 19 years and every year they host a company picnic on the land west of their building so that employees and their families can enjoy the Air Force Academy graduation flyovers by the Thunderbirds. It’s such a thrill to watch them fly in formation and feel the roar of their engines as they pass overhead.
