May was a good month for us in that there were two movies coming to theaters that we were excited to see. Since we were anticipating a certain one that was to be the last for a series–we decided to re-watch all of the previous ones leading up to it.
1. Black Widow. When we learned about the Thunderbolts movie, we decided to re-watch Black Widow–since it has some of the same characters. It is really good, and Yelena (Natasha’s sister) is absolutely fantastic.
2. Thunderbolts. We LOVED this movie. Alexei is such a great comedic relief and it’s a very fun with lots of good action. ***SPOILER ALERT***My only disappointment was at the end they called themselves The New Avengers. I think Thunderbolts is a better fit and goes along with the comedic theme of the movie.
3. Mission Impossible, Mission Impossible II, Mission impossible III, Mission Impossible–Ghost Protocol, Mission Impossible–Rogue Nation, Mission Impossible–Fallout, Mission Impossible–Dead Reckoning Part 1.
I absolutely LOVE this movie series! The only one I don’t really care for is the 2nd one. It was directed by John Woo and for those of you familiar with his work it always includes A LOT of cheesy slow mo with pigeons flying, scarves being caught in the wind, and hair billowing. We decided as a family that it is no longer important for us to include it when we binge watch the series in the future. The next ones to follow add all of the BEST characters–Luthor, Benji and so many more. I highly recommend them if you love good heart pumping action and great stories.
4. Mission Impossible–The Final Reckoning. Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed this movie. We loved it so much we saw it TWICE in the movie theaters. It’s a fantastic ending to a fantastic movie series.
