June is traditionally when the new summer movies start making their way to theaters. Since we had seen the new movie–Thunderbolts– in May, it made us reminisce for all our favorite Marvel movies. Back in 2020, we watched the entire series of movies in order by timeline and it was a lot of fun. This time–we watched by series of the individual characters and enjoyed that just as much. You might be thinking: “Boy that is A LOT of movies to watch in one month”. Yes, it is. But since it’s summer, we pretty much watch a movie every night.
1. Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and Iron Man 3. Of all the Avenger movies–these are my favorite. Robert Downey Jr. playing Tony Stark/Ironman is the very best in my opinion. I love all three of them–great “villains”, wonderful story lines, and fantastic action. There’s also really nice comic relief here and there.

2. Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain Ameria: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War. These are all good movies. The boys love The Winter Soldier one the best. My least favorite is Civil War. I don’t like them all fighting each other–it just seems wrong.

3. Captain America: Brave New World. We got to see this one in the theater. I’ll be honest–I didn’t care for it as much as I wanted to. Something about them naming Falcon as the new Captain America didn’t sit well. Plus–I didn’t care for the casting of Harrison Ford as the Red Hulk. So many parts of the movie seemed forced, contrived and not a very good story. There were some good moments here and there, but overall, none of us plan to watch it again any time soon.

4. The Avengers, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Avengers: Infinity War, The Avengers: Endgame. All of these movies are so, so good.

5.Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. This is my favorite series in all the Marvel universe. I remember the first time we watched it–I was completely unfamiliar with the characters and couldn’t figure out why a raccoon and a tree were superheroes. I quickly fell in love with all of the characters and love the quirky, awesome humor, action and stories. My least favorite is the second one–it’s a little weirder than the others, but I still enjoy it.

6. Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok. We all love this series too. Chris Pine plays a fantastic Thor with lots of humor and quick wit. We didn’t include the newest one (Thor: Love and Thunder), mostly because we didn’t care for it as much. But I included the link and encourage you to decide for yourself.

7. Spider-man: Homecoming, Spider-man: Far from Home, Spider-man: No Way Home. All of us love all three of these movies. I think Tom Holland does an excellent job as Spiderman. My least favorite is Far from Home–I don’t really like the villain character. But my favorite is No Way Home. I’m not usually a fan of multiverse stories, but I love that they brought back the other two actors that have portrayed Spiderman and so many of the old villains. It is very clever and a fun action-packed movie.

7. Black Panther. We all love this movie so much. I think Chadwick Boseman did a fantastic job as the character and was sad at his passing. The whole movie is great–very creative story and awesome action. We didn’t watch the newer one again (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), mostly because none of us liked it much, but I encourage you to see for yourself.

That’s all for now. I would love to hear your opinions and any suggestions you may have of what to watch. Tune in next time for an updated list from us.
